Year 5 Science Week

 YEAR 5 • SCIENCE • WEEK 

Year 5 had a brilliant day celebrating Science Week, packed full of investigation, teamwork and curiosity!

They explored which materials make the best insulators for ice lollies, carried out the fascinating “water walk” experiment, and even stepped into the role of birds — using pegs and tweezers to try and build a nest, just like birds do in nature.

The challenges didn’t stop there! Working as a team, the children designed and built rafts to hold marbles, putting their problem-solving and engineering skills to the test.

To top it all off, they took part in an exciting space workshop, learning more about the wonders of our universe. 

A fantastic day of discovery, creativity and scientific thinking — well done Year 5!
