Swim Safe at Lavender Hall Lakes

Our pupils had a fantastic day at Lavender Hall Lakes, taking part in a SwimSafe session and developing important skills for staying safer in and around open water

The children experienced the challenge of cold water first-hand and learned how quickly it can affect our bodies and our ability to respond. It was a powerful reminder of why learning to swim, building water confidence and understanding how to stay safe around water are such important life skills

Through practical activities and challenges, the children developed their awareness, resilience and confidence while supporting and encouraging one another throughout the day

We are so proud of everyone for stepping outside their comfort zones and embracing the experience — and that well-deserved hot chocolate afterwards was certainly appreciated!
