Hello and welcome to Year 4!
I am Mrs Tate and I am the Year 4 class teacher. This term I will be supported by Miss Jewell who is a Trainee Teacher.
We are really excited to be able to welcome you to life in Year 4, from Romans to Rivers and electricity to computing, we have an inspiring, fun packed year ahead of us. On top of this, we have some incredible adventures to embark upon during our year together, visiting a rainforest and a residential stay at Conkers are just a few.
Year 4 is an important year for times tables. At the end of this year, we will be taking our times tables fluency tests. It is important that your child practises their tables at home as often as possible. They need to be fluent in 0x, 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, 10x, 11x and 12x tables.
It is a pleasure to be able to teach and work with your child and we are eager to watch them grow and develop as they progress through the year. As a team, we are always here for you and your child. If you need to discuss anything, please let us know.

Our PE Day is Tuesday and Thursday.
Please make sure you bring a water bottle to school each day as learning is thirsty work!
Year 4 will do Cross Country & Orienteering in PE on Monday and Tuesday this term (Autumn 2024). For more information about PE kit requirements and expectations, please visit our uniform page.
